Island Drilling is a young and agile drilling organization with more than 30 years of operational experience. We are dedicated to our customers and proud of the work we perform. We are now seeking a Manager E&I Responsible to join our onshore support team. This key position will oversee Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) at Island Drilling, ensuring excellence and compliance across all electrical systems and installations.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, we are ISO 50001 certified. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our energy management system, in line with ISO 50001 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- SUT: Be involved with thew project team responsible to update/prepare all system and certificates necessary according to SUT.
- Internal Control System: Establish, update, and maintain an internal control system for E&I to ensure compliance with the Norwegian Regulations for Electrical Installations (FEK).
- Project Supervision: Lead and supervise E&I installation work both onshore and offshore, ensuring that all activities adhere to regulatory standards and project specifications.
- Operational Management: Oversee the operational and maintenance responsibilities for electrical facilities within Island Drilling.
- Energy Management: As part of our ISO 50001 certification, manage the energy consumption and efficiency of E&I systems. This includes:
- Monitoring daily energy usage and reporting performance against established KPIs.
- Leading the Energy Team to implement strategies for energy reduction and optimization.
- Identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and implementing corrective actions.
- QHSE Leadership: Drive Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) initiatives for E&I operations, both onshore and offshore.
- Technical Coordination: Manage technical queries and interface with engineering and project teams to resolve issues and ensure successful project execution.
- Tender Preparation: Estimate costs and prepare tenders for E&I projects, ensuring competitive and accurate proposals.
- Regulatory Liaison: Maintain compliance and effective communication with the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB).
Qualifications:
- Technical college diploma or equivalent.
- Multi-disciplinary understanding, particularly in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Offshore experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong IT-skills; familiarity with systems like Landax, Proarc, and Maisy is advantageous.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
