Subsea Engineer
Island Drilling, a leading offshore drilling company, is seeking for skilled and experienced Subsea Engineer to join our team on a semisubmersible drilling rig.
As a Subsea Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the subsea equipment and systems, ensuring a efficient operation and contributing to the success of our drilling operations.
Your expertise in subsea engineering, equipment inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance will be essential for maintaining safety, reliability, and productivity on the rig.

Subsea Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all subsea equipment, including but not limited to
blowout preventers (BOPs), risers, control systems, valves, connectors, and ROV systems.
Inspection and Testing: Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of subsea equipment to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Identify and address any potential issues or malfunctions promptly.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot subsea equipment malfunctions, utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently. Coordinate with other departments and personnel to address complex problems and implement effective solutions.
Maintenance Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance plans for subsea equipment, including preventive maintenance schedules and equipment overhaul activities. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely, accurately, and within established timelines.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, inspections, repairs, and testing results. Prepare detailed reports on equipment performance, anomalies, and maintenance activities, and provide timely updates to the management team.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and industry best practices during subsea operations. Identify potential hazards, develop risk mitigation strategies, and promote a culture of safety awareness among the team.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the drilling, marine, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of subsea equipment with the overall drilling operations. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in subsea engineering and technology. Propose and implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and cost-saving measures to enhance operational efficiency and optimize performance.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Subsea Engineer, preferably in the offshore drilling industry.
In-depth knowledge of subsea equipment, systems, and their operational principles.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing subsea operations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using relevant software and tools for subsea engineering analysis and design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and a proactive approach to mitigating risks.
Offshore certifications and training (BOSIET, HUET, etc.) as required by the company.
